Award season has officially kicked off, and diversity was a major topic of conversation. From Host Sandra Oh’s moving speech on equality, stating profusely “I see you,” to the cast of Black Panther’s “Wakanda Forever” moment, the 76th Golden Globe Awards were packed with entertainment and trailblazing moments.
While there was tons of diversity at this season's awards and red carpet, there was disappointment in not seeing crowd favorites such as the recently married Priyanka Chopra who dazzled at last years awards. Although Priyanka was absent, India was well represented. Dazzling on the red carpet were Indian filmmakers and social activists Amit Sarin and Vineesha Arora-Sarin. Amit is also an accomplished actor in Mumbai most known for his role as Kshitij in Balaji Telefilms' series Kkusum and Star Plus's series, Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Personally invited by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, both Amit and Vineesha looked flawless. Amit was dressed in a tuxedo, while Vineesha was in a black and silver dazzling gown, both styled by Delhi-based Simran Arora, who is also Vineesha’s cousin.
